• akıcı ingilizce sahibi olmalı ve bu dilde yazılmış teknik dökümanları, makaleleri rahatlıkla okuyabilmeli.

This year, the global theme of Global Service Jam Workshops was “Hidden Treasure”. After learning the theme, participants made a brainstorming around the theme in order to get  inspirations for their study.

With the help of Open Space method, participants defined main topics and made discussion sessions. By the end of this sessions 4 groups occurred and they started to research and developing their ideas.

Before finalizing projects, groups told about their project details to other participants in oder to get feedback for understanding missing points and different approaches.

Finally, each groups presented their creative solutions after 48 hours fiery working process.

Bengi Turgan, who  is Co-founder of sponsorship Bilende, introduced Global Jam Workshops that were held in more than 35 different cities around the world at the same time.

People who are interested in sustainability and using a design-based approach to problem solving and creativity, examined sustainability concept with the help of Kerem Özcan’s sharings about sustainability. Kerem Özcan is research assistant in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. After then, all participants and mentors heard about the Global Theme: “Playgrounds”

By practicing on “World Cafe” method participants examined the meaning of “sustainability” both to themselves and society with the mentoring of co-founder of HUB Istanbul, James Halliday.

Specialist on Sustainable Living Games Ayşen Eren introduced to participants Open Space method. With this method, groups were defined after varied discussion sessions.

Groups started their research and development process which are followed by prototyping process.

After fiery and enjoyable working times, each groups presented their projects and got precious feedbacks.

Same as previous Jam workshop, participant from different schools and professions, had chance to know each other while producing creative sustainable solutions.

Once the user is registered to Alias the caregiver submits prioritized emergency contact numbers.

When a pedestrian encounters user with a visible alias id who seems lost, s/he can call the toll free number and provide the ID number of the user to the IVR. Then he will be forwarded to the primary emergency contact of the user (if not answered forwarded to the second contact and so on.)

While waiting for a response s/he will be acknowledged about how he should interact with the user through a pre-recorded, generic action plan. When the call is answered, the pedestrian and the emergency contact of the user can then agree on what further steps should be taken.

Professional participant and senior design students found chance to discover service design discipline. Besides design, participants varied from media, marketing and varying engineering disciplines.

During the event Bengi Turgan, Etkin Ciftci, Ozgur Ozserin and Aydıncan Ataberk gave presentations on service design, interaction design and digital communication design.

. Participants design projects in groups within the given global theme. During the event, participant shared their ideas, views and directions with other participant on a regular basis.

Participants communicated their designs through early stage sketches.

During the event, each group presented their sketches and marked the highlights regarding to feedback.

At the end of the event, participants presented the process and outcome of their projects. During the presentations successful processed, missing sides carefully discussed.

At the end of the third day Global Service Jam has ended with playful interactions and discoveries.

Bilende has participated in Service Design Conference, Berlin organized by Service Design Network at 13-14 of October 2010. Much of the conference was about academic presentations and business cases brought by client-design ofiice together.  Workshops on service design methods draw attention from professional participants around the world.
